#011 /artists for kids

Every Spring for the last four years, I have had the privilege of being the “Artist in Residence” leading a class of high school students in a week long Fashion Photography workshop for THE ARTISTS FOR KIDS TRUST, a “partnership among some of Canada’s finest artists and the North Vancouver School District”.  It has been incredibly rewarding for me personally and is one of the “sparks” that kindled the creation of TEST/model magazine.

The workshop is usually closed by the official gallery show at the end of the school year but was postponed to September this year so that it could be the FIRST SHOW in the brand new “Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art”!

In the spirit of “Back to School” that we started with issue #010 /openstudio we present a selection of student work from last spring’s AFK workshop. Featuring the amazing designs of Jason Matlo, and hair & makeup from Avant Garde we think that this group of students did an amazing job and we are SO PROUD!!
